What therapies do I draw from?

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, depending on your needs and preferences.

These include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): helps us to live a more meaningful life by accepting difficult thoughts and emotions while focusing on
    your values.

  • Poly vagal Theory: helps us to map the autonomic nervous system responses and our experiences of safety and how that affects our ability to connect.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice: recognises the impact of trauma on mental health and prioritising safety, empowerment, and choice.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT: helps us identify unhelpful patterns in our thinking and behaviour, and supports us to develop more helpful ways of responding to life’s challenges.

  • Schema Therapy: explores lifelong patterns and emotional wounds, aiming to heal deeply rooted issues.

  • Narrative Therapy: encourages us to re-author the story of our life in ways that empower and support change.

  • Motivational Interviewing: supports behaviour change by helping us explore and resolve ambivalence.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): can help us to manage intense emotions, cope with challenging situations and improve our relationships in a mindful way.
